Deloris T, Cinnamon Lake OH

About Deloris
I live in a small rural farm town in Ohio at a place called Cinnamon Lake. It’s a 130 acre lake community with boating, swimming and fishing. I’m married to a great guy and this July we will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.

How long have you been making cards?
I got bit by the stamping bug in 2002 when I discovered the real flower and shadow stamps on the Hero Arts website.

How long making them for our heroes?
For the past three years I have been making cards for our heros and also for the seriously ill children at the Keiki Cards Charity.

What's your favorite kind of card to make?
Cute cards that feature images like Fluffles, House Mouse plus other animals.

Do you have a special technique you love to use?
I love coloring with Prismacolor pencils. I blend them with a white chalk eraser or with a blending stump and baby oil.

Are there colors, styles, or product that draw you?
Currently I am drawn to the new stamps from Hero Arts. I’ve gotten lots of ideas and inspiration from the great card samples in the new 2008 catty. I also love Penny Black stamps…the hedgehogs and ducks are my favorites.

What motivates you to make cards for heroes?
I’ve read so many nice comments from the troops about how much they appreciate the cards we send.
