Thank you, Veterans!

Thank you....

To all those who have proudly worn the uniform of any of our Armed Forces and defended millions of Americans whom they will never meet.

To those who waved goodbye to fearful spouses, confused young children, and scared parents, as well as careers, hobbies, friends, churches, homes — and said hello to the unknown ahead of them in war.

To those who lived in harsh conditions and eaten freezedried food, showered with babywipes, slept on rock-hard ground, and craved the simple comforts they left behind.

To those who missed the birth of a child, teaching a son to drive, escorting a daughter to her 8th grade dance, and had to phone in yet one more wedding anniversary.

To those who followed orders, did things they never imagined, and saw things they can't forget.

To those who were motivated to make it one more day by a crayon-covered, wrinkled drawing of a horse from a 2nd grader in a classroom somewhere in the midwest.

To all who have ever served, and to all who are serving right now....thank you.

Both of our fathers were Veterans and I'm not sure if we ever told them how proud we were of them. So I will tell you that we are very thankful for all of you, for all you do and for all you give to keep us safe. May God bless each and every one of you.

Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. Words of appreciation will never be enough, but it's a start. Because of you, we remain free and safe. You are all true American heroes!
