Featured Cardmaker: Janice C, Phoenix AZ

I have lived in Phoenix, AZ for the past 27 years. I have 3 adult children and one "Pound Puppy".  I started making cards in 3rd grade and have graduated to making cards with embellishments and stamping about 4 years ago.

I heard about OWH (then CFH) through Packages from Home about 1 year ago and sent my 1st box of cards.  When my son was on tour, he mentioned that many servicemen & women didn't hear from family/friends back home and they were all tired of Desert Camo.

My favorite cards are anything with bling (love the rhinestones), bright colors and flowers!

I want to make these cards special for family and friends back home.  Going through the stress of wondering how my son was when stationed overseas, I would have loved to receive a card like the ones we send.  They are much prettier than notebook paper!

And I have a feeling the cards motivate the men & women to keep in contact with their loved ones.

Beautiful cards Janice. Thanks for sharing them and your thoughts about why you've joined OWH. It's always nice to hear about the other card makers.

Janice, great work! I love the smile card! :-)

To Cheryl, if you get a corner rounder punch ($4 at my local Walmart) you can use that to make scalloped edges! I LOVE to do that.
