News from the Caribbean

Hello again! We've benn having so much fun since we last posted! It's been challenging blogging from an iPad, since it only shows HTML mode. So today's post will just give you one photo instead, and I'll send it by email and see how that goes!

This morning's vlog:

We left off on Sunday....with another full day at sea on Monday. We made cards all morning and for 3 hours in the late afternoon....but I had to twist arms (and lock the studio door, lol) to make our crafters go out in the sunshine! I think that's the only thing missing from this cruise...having a view of the outside while we craft. Our conference room is down on the 2nd floor, so when we're in there, we might as well be in a library on land. But I closed down for a little while after lunch and sent them off to swim or nap in the sun for two hours. :)

Our classes have been saw the funky fold tutorial I hope! Some folks have been making more of them ever since...once you get the hang of it, they're addictive! We're also leaving the alcohol inks, distress inks, and distress stains out, along with the craft mats, so everyone has been making periodic inky messes during our open studio time too. Kris showed us how to make faux leather backgrounds, and those have been inspiring us to get out of the box too!

The goodies keep coming every day, too....we saved some of the treats to hand out each day when we get to the studio! Though The treat boxes are emptying.....which means we're getting nearer to the end o fine cruise! No, say it isn't so! We have today in St Kitts, tomorrow in Puerto Rico, Friday in Labadee....then one more full day at sea as we make our way home. We plan a prize party on Saturday to give away all the rest of our goodies - mosty the giant table full of shared supplies. Shhhhhhh, don't tell the ladies we'll be divvying that giant pile among them! There is so much paper, lots of tools, inks, dies...I think they ink I'm carting it all home, but they get to work out tucking it into their bags. :)

My room service should be here any minute with breakfast....this is the life! Then it will be it me to meet a few girls to head onto the island to do some shopping and lay on the beach a whir. Yeah! Gonna be a good day, mon! Hope you have some island attitude in YOUR day!

Room service for an early, quiet breakfast on your balcony is the best treat I remember from my last cruise. Enjoy!!!
Love you....Mom
